DANCE: SHARKDymphna Kerinauia was born at the mission hospital at Bathurst
Island. Her mother Betty Wilson was sister to Kitty Kantilla, the well
known artist. Dymphnas mother passed away when she was ten years
old and she was grown up by her aunties Tippy and Topsy. Dymphna came
to live at Milikapiti as a young girl, where she married and raised
a family. She began painting mid-2001 at Jilamara Arts and Craft, and
has already developed a unique artistic language.
